Jackie O’Neil
but lived in Glasgow for 25 years. She has had many different, but has largely worked as an addiction counsellor and sexual abuse counsellor – both in the community and prisons in Glasgow and laterly being permanently based in a High Security Prison in Cambridgeshire. It was whilst working in the community that I first became introduced to Reflexology and saw how much it benefited my clients.
Jackie trained as a Reflexologist in 2014 and she also trained to be an auricular acupuncturist and used to deliver this in the prison. Jackie became very interested in how the body and the mind work together. She worked as a volunteer providing Reflexology to patients at the Macmillan Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Since then, she has opened up her own holistic clinic and offer a range of treatments as well as re- training as a Foot Health Practitioner.
Jackie hates exercise cannot even run a tap! although she knows how important exercise is. The ethos of Tai Chi and its links with Chinese medicine and Taoism, really resonated with her. She was fortunate enough to be taught by a teacher, who was taught by a direct descendant of the Chen family, my teacher also studied in China. It has been her absolute pleasure to have been taught and to assist him in his teachings. she absolutely love Tai Chi and it has changed not only her physical health but her mental health enormously.
Since doing Tai Chi it has quite simply changed my life. The physical benefits of Tai Chi are well documented, the mental health aspect less so. her aim is to share this wonderful gift to everyone to promote health and well-being for everyone young and old and to empower people to live their best life.
It is also the only exercise I will get up for even with the occasional Hangover!
My spare time although I do work full time, so is precious, is busy with Tai Chi 5 Rescue Dogs, gardening an allotment and quizzing.
